Forensic Psychology
At CPFP we offer court and criminal risk assessments, offence focussed treatment and best practice psychological interventions, which can be delivered in person or online, in an individual capacity or, in some cases, a group setting.
We can conduct interviews and assessments in our rooms, prisons and facilities, or in consulting rooms throughout Ireland. Video interview facilities can also be utilised where necessary. Our focus is on providing clear, evidence-based reports and our consultants endeavour to maintain close communication with legal colleagues and clients to ensure accuracy and prompt delivery of work.
We can also prepare expert evidence reports for other purposes such as, Parole Board hearings, Family Court matters, Victim’s Compensation claims, Workers Compensation claims, accident and personal injury, medical negligence, pain and suffering, and other medico legal matters.

The group-based intervention provides an opportunity for men who are involved in abusive/violent behaviours to access appropriate and best practice-based interventions focussing on how to control their emotions, communicate better, and change the thoughts and beliefs that enable abusive behaviour. The program aim is to eliminate all forms of violence and abusive behaviour by male offenders

The program adopts an integrated RNR, offence focussed and Strength based approach and places emphasis on accepting responsibility for the offending behaviour and harms caused. The program duration is 16 weeks and is focussed on enhancing the skills of the individual to provide them to constructively address the relevant psychological and interpersonal issues to the risk of recidivism.

Our forensic groups are held online and are 3.5 hours in duration, with attendance on a weekly basis for the 16-week program duration. The groups have a maximum of 6 participants.
The 16-week group program costs €1600. Please note group treatment must be paid in advance, with no reduction for missed sessions.
Upon group completion a treatment letter will be provided, which will highlight, the program overview, targeted treatment, outcome, participation, engagement and any recommendations for future treatment or action.
Please note that all potential group participants will require an assessment of treatment need prior to being accepted on the program. This assessment will be charged at €200.
